Farrowing house 1

This building has 8 farrowing rooms with 12 pens in each. The pens have raised floors made of round iron, which keeps them clean and dry. At full production, three pens farrow each week.

The rooms have a removable ceiling of black PVC, which is used in winter to facilitate temperature control.

All the pens have an automated sprinkler system which comes into operation on hot days.
