SUINOCULTURA SUINOSUL LTDA.

The Suinocultura Suinosul pig genetics company was founded in 1978 by three European partners of different nationalities: English, Irish and Swiss. The last two were resident in Brazil and administered the company on a daily basis.

In 1979 construction of the Suinosul Farm began, for 200 sows, and by 1980 the foundation stock started farrowing. With further construction in 1986 and again in 1994, the farm reached its present capacity of 750 sows, farrow to finish.

The farm is located in Santa Rosa, Rio Grande do Sul, which is the southern-most state in Brazil, with a long tradition in pig production. It is four miles from the town, on a main tarmac road.

SUINOSUL FARM

For more than 25 years, Suinosul Farm has been producing and selling top quality pig breeding stock. Clients during this period have included most of the big pig integrations in the south of Brazil, such as Sadia, Perdigão, Avipal, Cosuel and others.

The partners of Suinosul have decided, for personal reasons, to put the farm on the market, as a going concern and with its full genetic potential. It is currently operating at full capacity, with 750 sows in production, and a total herd of some 7,000 pigs.

A constant program of investment in infrastructure and maintenance means that today the farm is in very good condition and very well equipped for its activities.

The farm is built on a prime site of 18ha (43 acres), just 4 miles from town, with almost 700m of frontage onto the main road. Santa Rosa is in the centre of an important pig production region which supplies several pig processing plants, including one in Santa Rosa town itself.

STAFF

Suinosul Farm has exceptional staff. The total of 25 employees is divided between pig staff (15), auxiliary workers (feed mill, drivers, etc.) (6) and administrative staff (4). On average, they have been with the farm for more than 10 years. It is due to their experience and dedication that the farm constantly achieves excellent production figures.
