Service and Gestation 2

This building holds the main service area, with 35 boar pens, weaned sow accomodation, and also group housing for gestating sows.

Weaned sows are housed in groups as they arrive, in contact with the boars to stimulate heat. After service, they are taken to stalls and remain there for 35 days. Then they return to this building in group housing until some 8-10 days before farrowing.
